Why Take This Course?
In most jobs (and most of life, for that matter), you’re not just judged on the work you do. What’s just as important is how well you express yourself — both in writing and in speaking. Whether you’re part of a one-on-one, speaking on a Zoom meeting, or standing at the front of a packed auditorium, how you come across will have a lot to do with how people perceive you. So what gets in the way of hitting a oratorial home run when you speak? For most of us it’s our nerves. Learning to manage them and even use them to your advantage is precisely what we’ll cover in this free talk.
Course Description
Montana will be giving a 15-minute TED Talk-style presentation, and then ask you for your critique. So you’ll be watching a talk about giving talks that will cover these points:
Your body’s role: Posture, stance, eye contact, and voice projection
Overcoming nervousness and exuding confidence
The necessity of rehearsal (after all, it’s what this talk is)
Who Should Take This Class?
This talk is for anyone who needs to speak for business, volunteer work, or you name it.
