Content isn't just words. It's everything that goes into a web site -- copy, images, videos, blog feeds, metadata, and more. So, what's a content strategy? It's a plan that works out where the content comes from, how it's updated, and --most important -- how your content is working for your site's visitors.

If how content is handled on your site is a little hit-and-miss, this workshop will help you pull things together with the result being a more organized, more effective site. Some of the specifics we'll cover include:

James Callan

James Callan has been tinkering with online content for over 15 years, starting as a copywriter. His Great Content Strategy Awakening happened in 2008, while he was a copywriter at (He can tell you the secret to unsubscribing from their newsletters.) Since then he's become a royal pest and a valuable asset, promoting the business value of quality content. He's currently the in-house content strategist at Sur La Table as part of their Ecommerce Team. He's also handy on a pub quiz team.
