This class is for you if you’d actually like to feel proficient at writing HTML code and acquire a working knowledge of Cascading Style Sheets. Continuing the foundation set from the intro-level class, we’ll dive into more HTML and CSS, including layout, positioning, inheritance, selectors, specificity and frameworks. Tips, tricks and shortcuts in addition to producing valid code, with attention paid to filters, conditionals and hacks.
Taught on Mac OS X, but training also applies to Windows users.

If you already have a good working knowledge of HTML, you’ll move to the next level in this class, adding deep skills in CSS to your repertoire.

Michael Ortlieb

Michael Ortlieb is the advertising design lead at IMDb.com, the Internet Movie Database. Starting there in 2004 as a UI, graphic, and web designer, he now manages a team of designers to bring advertising solutions via HTML, CSS and Flash. He previously served as a web designer for Peak Systems, working on projects for Qwest, the Pepsi Center in Denver and the International Olympic Committee, among others. Michael is also an experienced instructor, having taught Dreamweaver, Flash, Photoshop and other programs at North Seattle Community College.
