Don't panic when you scroll down and see that SVC's design and art direction programs take 2-1/2 years to complete. What you're looking at is the full meal deal for students who want comprehensive training and who only have time to take 3 - 6 hours of instruction per week. If you can handle more, or you already bring some skills to the party, those 10 quarters can condense down to 8 fairly easily. In any case, there is no hard and fast path at SVC. Instead, we'll meet with you and then construct an individualized course track. In the meantime, when you see a little -1, -2 or -3 after a class, that means students are advised to take these classes more than once to build up their portfolios. The assignments change each quarter, as do the instructors, so there's really not much repetition.
