PROMISES KEPT
I said I'd show you a couple of the Janet Champ ads written for Nike that are among the most personal, inspiring, and poetic ads I've ever seen. Well, then, here they are.
I also mentioned that I'd include a copy of the radio spot I wrote for Fratelli's Ice Cream. It might take me a little while to get an audio file up here, but for now, here's a script:
FRATELLI'S ICE CREAM
John Corbett: My friends, who among us has not been a victim of the greatest robbery of all times?
Who has not had an hour or two or ten of pure, peaceful sleep snatched from us while we fretted with open eyes in the dark over an unpaid bill, a maddening boss, or an unrequited love?
My cure for this nocturnal larceny is to sneak a visit to that great frozen altar to partake of a bowl of sweet, smooth, sleep-giving ice cream. And on those rare occasions when the ice cream cure doesn't work, I recall the words of Franklin Pierce Adams:
If my dear you seek to slumber,
count of stars an endless number.
If you still continue wakeful,
count the drops that make a lake full.
Then, if vigilance yet above you,
count the times I love you.
And if slumber still repel you,
count the times I did not tell you.
For Fratelli's Ice Cream, thank you for listening.
